East Bay Momma

A Frugal Momma Providing a Rich Childhood

Baby Bounce at the Oakland Public Library

East Bay Mommas who are on a budget can’t really afford Gymboree, $10/session Mommy groups, etc.  But no need to feel deprived: the Oakland Public Library comes to the rescue!

The library offers Baby Bounce and Preschool Storytime at branches all over Oakland, every week.  How cool is that!

The one I go to has singing, a book or two read aloud and baby bouncing for about 15-20 minutes.  Then all the babies play together (well, at this young age they kind of just check each other out and chew on stuff haha) while the parents socialize.  It is really so much fun and FREE!

Thank you Ben Franklin for your staunch beliefs in libraries.  The baby and I have a blast at these gatherings!
